School Sport Projects
PH Sports are experienced sports providers who have collaborated with a number of school games organisers (SGOs), sports development officers (SDOs) and county sports partnerships (CSPs) on various school sport projects aiming to increase participation in youth sport.
Take a look at some of our past school sport projects and case studies.

- PH Sports have delivered a number of training days for young leaders to up skill them ready to deliver as leaders as the School Games events, this has ranged from training them in officiating and scoring for Cricket, Tag Rugby to timing and recording for Quad Kids events.
Sky Living for Sport
PH Sports delivered a Sky Living for Sport project at a school in Warminster for 7 YR7 pupils who were on the verge of being suspended from school. The aim of the sessions was to improve communication skills, behaviour and attitude in school. We delivered a number of different activities as part of the sport project to the pupils to practice these skills. We started with Power Kiting as a way to look at their ability to work in pairs, sharing, taking turns and cooperating. When the kite came down their partner would need to sort the kite out again and help them to launch it. Over the weeks we built this up to working in small groups, and finished off by doing a high ropes course with the pupils.
Within the project we trained the pupils and built in a chance for the pupils to give back to the school and community. The Year 7s attended the Kwik Cricket for local feeder primary schools, they were the scorers and umpires for Year 6 children taking part in the competition. They represented the school brilliantly throughout the afternoon. The result of the project was a success with 1 student being named South West Student of the Year by Sky Living for Sport, the other pupils remained in school throughout the year.
Change 4 Life
PH Sports run 10-week Change 4 Life sports clubs which aim to increase physical activity levels in less active seven- to nine-year-olds, through multi-sport themes. PH Sports provide these clubs at multiple schools in Hampshire for the New Forest SSP as well as in Wiltshire.
Change4Life’s aim is to inspire a broad coalition of people, including the NHS, local authorities, businesses, charities, schools, families, community leaders – in fact anyone working with families or individuals – to all play a part in improving the nation’s health and well-being by encouraging everyone to eat well, move more and live longer.
Launched in 2009, Change4Life school sport project was aimed at parents with children. The movement now encompasses adults, and has a sister brand, Start4Life, which introduces healthy habits right from birth. Change4Life uses cartoon imagery and informal, non-judgmental language to suggest easy diet and exercise swaps. It also offers support so that our audience is more likely to make the changes they need to a more healthy lifestyle
The clubs strive to create an exciting and inspirational environment for children to engage in school sport. Over time the clubs will ensure that they take part in lifelong sport and physical activity, reducing the risk of chronic disease in later life.
