School Sports and PE Apprenticeships

Our apprenticeship programme is a great opportunity for people with a passion and enthusiasm for coaching sport in a school environment. Apprenticeships are a great way to gain practical skills in the workplace and earn while you learn.

Its an exciting time to play a vital role to increase the physical activity of children and young people. We work with 2nd Chance Project, who are our accredited training provider of apprenticeships.

The 2nd Chance Project is an organisation with international recognition for its use of sport for social change, who deliver a wide range of projects and services that support engagement to employment, education and training.

What does our apprenticeship involve?

You will work closely with an assigned mentor who will review your progress every two weeks. You will get to experience a mixture of shadowing senior staff, delivering sports clubs and working behind-the-scenes as an integral part of PH Sports team.

Take a look at our Training and Development page for more information about what you should expect working for PH Sports.

What qualifications do I need to apply for an apprenticeship?

It would be advantageous if you already hold a Level 1 sport National Governing Body qualification as well as first aid and safeguarding certificates.
